Attilio Zimatore

Board Member

Born in Catanzaro in 1955.

After earning a Law degree from the Sapienza University of Rome, Attilio Zimatore began work at the same university in 1977; initially as a substitute assistant professor, then as a researcher in Private Law, and finally, in 1990, as a full professor. He has also taught at the Universities of Campobasso and Viterbo. Since 2000, he has held the Private Law Chair in the Law Faculty of Rome’s LUISS Guido Carli University. He also acted as Director of the Legal Science Department at LUISS, from 2007 to 2011.

He was a member of the Italian National Olympic Committee’s High Court of Sports Justice, and is currently President of the Second Section of the Sports Guarantee Committee.

In addition to practising as a lawyer, he acts as the extraordinary administrator for various large companies under extraordinary administration by appointment of the Ministry of Economic Development.

In 2015, the Ministry of Justice appointed him as a member of the Investigative Committee for the reformation of insolvency procedures.
He has acted as Chairman of Prelios Credit Servicing S.p.A. and is currently Chairman of the company Nuova Compagnia di Partecipazioni S.p.A. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the LUISS Guido Carli University.

He has been on the Board of Directors of Angelini Holding S.p.A. since 1 January 2019.
